Phew. NY Fashion Week is officially over and what a packed calendar it was! Between the shows, events, and lounges, we had quite an exciting past 7 days. It was an incredible season -so many gorgeous styles and hair and makeup trends that we adore! Here’s a roundup of our favorite collections from New York Fashion Week Spring 2015.
BCBG Max Azria
Holy smokes, BCBG absolutely killed it for S/S ’15. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The styles, the hair, the makeup -everything was perfection. Flowy, easy, soft fabrics, tons of gorgeous patterns and pastels. We’re in love with this entire collection.
Jason Wu
Jason Wu is one of our all time favorites, so it’s no mystery that he put out another stellar collection for S/S ’15. Wu mixed both tailored styles, and softer looser cuts. As usual, he sticks to mostly solid fabrics and clean lines. This is a stunning collection that does not disappoint!
Jenny Packham
On the fancier side, Jenny Packham sparkled and shined all over the runway for S/S ’15. Packham displayed a sophisticated collection of long, body-hugging hemlines, reminiscent of Golden Age Hollywood. Hair and makeup was minimal, allowing the dresses to shine through. Love!
Proenza Schouler
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez prove once again why they rule the runway. Proenza Schouler sticks to their usual understated colors, unique cuts, and mixed media -and they do it oh-so-well! Lots of ‘snakeskin’ detailing, paneling, cutouts, and fringe! Yes, fringe is BIG for S/S ’15.
Tibi
Tibi has been bringing relaxed and chic back for a few seasons now, and their S/S ’15 collection is no exception. First, can we just say a big, “thank you” to Tibi for keeping the relaxed look in vogue? Really, we love being comfortable and are so glad that looking polished and chic is no longer only about body-con and head-to-toe fancy. Tibi continues this season with their boxy tops, midi length skirts and generally long hemlines. You’ll find lots of comfortable, thin, flowing fabrics as well as a number of full length easy-wearing dresses worthy of any upscale event.
Pamella Roland
And the winner is: Pamella Roland. This is our favorite collection from this season. Seriously, her ability to find a total balance of relaxed, chic, sexy, and body-con was pretty spectacular. She absolutely blew us away with this collection. Everything was gorgeous. The whimsical colors, the romantic, flowing fabrics and white sheen -and can we talk about that absolutely stunning white jumpsuit? This collection makes us feel like unicorns and heaven probably exist. We could quite literally wear every single piece in her S/S ’15 collection. Bravo!
