Well, this is an interesting casting choice. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Elijah Wood a.k.a Frodo Baggins will be starring in Rodarte’s latest fashion film alongside model Guinevere van Seenus and Sidney Williams. The 12 minute film directed by Todd Cole (who also worked on their previous films) titled, This Must Be the Only Fantasy, features Rodarte’s summer 2013 collection set against a medieval inspired backdrop of unicorns, “nefarious cloaked horseman,” and Smiegel in a corset. (<–Just kidding on that last part.)
In the film, set to premiere Wednesday, July 17th, Elijah plays a mysterious “regal” character named Trevor who we’re assuming will be emoting and/or speaking in some sort of British-ish accent. If you’re wondering where this Rodarte/Wood connection comes in, Elijah is a long time friend of the Mulleavy sisters often seen rocking the famed brand as well as sitting front row at their shows. (Yea, we weren’t aware of that either, actually.)
