This season featured runway shows for 12 designers and was held at the Eyebeam Atelier in Manhattan. Nolcha’s first solo show on September 8th featured Katty Xiomara, who recently won the July 2014 Pret-a-Porter Sketchcolors Project Award. Her collection, a mix of “organic forms and geometric shapes” was inspired by “the art form of a chocolatier.” Actresses Kat Graham, Kristen Ruhlin, and Sammi Hanratty all showed up to the show rocking Xiomara’s designs.
Next, came the group show featuring designers Rinat Brodach, Mariana Valentina, Sofia Arana, Mimi Tran followed by several menswear designers including pants by Alberto, knitwear by Codice, shirts by Haupt, and sports jackets by Carl Gross.

The next day , September 9th, Nolcha featured The “Ones To Watch.” These designers included several emerging brands that the fashion industry already has their eyes on. Designers included Monstruosite, B’VENAJ Designs, Gregory Apparel, Oiselle, JBurgos, and Charles & Ron.
The show was followed by the second annual “Project SUBWAY,” which featured pieces from designers inspired by vegetables at Subway. Yes, it sounds a little odd, but you’d be surprised at how cool the designs turn out! Last year Project Subway featured designs made from Subway plates, bags, and napkins. Bella Thorne, Johnny Wujek,Nastia Liukin, and Russell Westbrook judged the competition and chose Veritee Hill’s onion-inspired dress as the winner.
Each season Nolcha grows and attracts more and more fashionistas and celebrities looking to get a first glimpse at the talented, yet-t0-be- known designers. This season attracted a whole slew of celebs including Kat Graham (Vampire Diaries), Bella Thorne (actress), Johnny Wujek (celebrity stylist), Nastia Liukin (Olympic Champion), Russel Westbrook (NBA), Constantine Maroulis (American Idol), Sammi Hanratty (actress), Kristen Ruhlin (actress), Skeery Jones (Z100), Shaun Ross (model), Soledad O’Brien (news anchor), Madeline Brewer (Orange is the New Black), Jessica Pimentel (Orange is The New Black), amongst others.
