The holidays have arrived and that means it’s time for family, friends, and of course, plenty of feasting. If you’re hosting a dinner or party for the holidays, you know how laborious (and stressful) it can be. Between planning, meal prep, and grocery shopping, it can leave your head spinning. If you haven’t been to ALDI yet, it’s time to check it out! ALDI is taking the grocery shopping experience back to the basics, providing high quality foods and lower prices, saving you up to 50% on your grocery bill. They’ve also simplified your experience by keeping stores limited to four or five aisles, making your grocery stop quick and easy.
At ALDI they focus only on high quality foods and groceries, cutting out non-essential services like in-store banking, pharmacies and check cashing. ALDI also guarantees all their store brand foods to be free of MSG, certified synthetic colors and partially hydrogenated oils. All their stores include 90 percent ALDI exclusive brands with a few national brands mixed in. This helps save you money while keeping quality high. They also offer premium food and non-food household products called “ALDI Finds” that are in stores for a limited time so there’s always a new surprise when you shop at ALDI.
For the holiday season ALDI is offering a delicious array of products your guests will love including premium cheeses, meats, preserves, cookies, chocolates, wine, coffee, and holiday themed cookware and kitchen goods. We got the chance to experience the ALDI difference this week at Carla Hall’s Southern Kitchen in Brooklyn where we kicked off the holiday season with an incredible feast that included an extensive charcuterie of premium cheeses and meats, Squash & Baby Kale Salad, Beyond Compare Brussel Sprouts, Asparagus + Almonds in Garlic Cream Sauce, Scalloped Potatoes, Vegetable Ragout, and the star of the night, Carla’s Chicken Pot Pie Over Waffles, all using ALDI products.
Carla whipped her incredible recipes, showing us how to create chicken pot pie over waffles in less than 30 minutes. We also enjoyed delicious wines and holiday cocktails, including a cranberry lemon puree concoction topped with Prosecco.
We finished the evening with Carla’s Butter Croissant Bread Pudding, assorted ALDI chocolates and cookies, pumpkin spice lattes and cinnamon bun iced coffee. As you can imagine, we left very stuffed, very happy and even more excited for more holiday feasts and gatherings.
