Effective Tips For Saving Time in The Morning

Any busy woman knows that every minute counts; especially in the morning. Between showering, getting ready, eating breakfast, walking the dog, working out, getting your kids ready etc., mornings can be downright hectic. Here are a few ways to save that precious time in the morning.

Wash your hair and shave the night before

You can save a ton of time in the morning by shaving and washing your hair the night before. These two tasks are typically the ones that take the most time in the shower, so if you do both the night before, you can cut your shower time to 5 minutes or less. Especially if you have thick, long hair that takes forever to dry. If you have curly hair, this will also cut down frizz and style time. Come morning, all you’ll need is a brush and maybe a bit of dry shampoo and you’re good to go.

Meal Prep

By prepping your meals in advance, you can save a lot of time. Instead of preparing food in the morning, try prepping your meals ahead of time with food you can take to-go, such as nuts, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, and granola.

Pick out your clothes in advance

Have you ever been late because “you couldn’t find anything to wear”? Yes, we’ve all been there! By planning your ensembles in advance and laying the items out on a chair the night before, you will significantly cut down the time it takes to get ready. If you’re really motivated and low maintenance, you can pull a “Steve Jobs” and just wear practically the same outfit everyday. No more deliberating and rushing to pick out an outfit.

Use Shower Steam To Unwrinkle Clothing

Instead of taking time to use an iron to remove wrinkles from clothing, hang it in the bathroom while you shower. The hot steam will help smooth out wrinkles, no iron necessary!

Try a Coffee/Caffeine Mask

The Creme Shop Cold Brew Face Mask, $12

Have you ever felt like no matter how much mascara, bronzer, lipstick or blush you put on you just look tired? It’s probably because your skin is puffy and uncirculated. Bring your skin to life with a coffee or caffeine mask that will quickly perk your complexion up, depuff, and get your blood flowing. This will help make your makeup routine minimal or non-existant! We like these Cold Brew sheet face masks because they’re quick, mess-free, and you can chill them in the fridge for maximum brightening and de-puffing.

Muli-Tasking Beauty Products

Multi-tasking beauty products are a major time saver. Instead of fumbling around with a bunch of different products, try using ones that have multiple functions like all over cheek and lip tints, BB creams that conceal, brighten, and even skin tone all at once, and dual sided eyeliner/shadow pencils. The less products you use=the less time you take to fumble around.
