Whether you’re traveling, need to hit the gym post-brunch, or you’re going straight from work for a night out, having versatile pieces that can double duty for day or night is essential! This is especially applicable if you travel frequently. Having to check a bag and lug around a huge suitcase is no fun when you’re on-the-go, and it seems we always pack more than we need!
However, with a few basics and a little creativity, you can wear that tank top you usually reserve for the gym for a night on the town. In fact, if you haven’t noticed, fashion is having a major “casual” moment and wearing sneakers with dresses and tank tops with fancy skirts has never been more in-vogue. Here’s how to dress up your basics for a day time brunch or a night on the town.
Always Include A Statement Piece
Whether it’s an amazing necklace, colorful shoes, or a fab skirt, always combine your basics with a statement piece. We love pairing our super comfy Hanes basics with a cool skirt or a eye-catching piece of jewelry. Not only can we rock our Hanes tanks at the gym, but they double as great basic tops for our statement pieces.
Layer Up
Layering always adds instant style to any outfit! By adding a necklace and throwing a denim shirt over our Hanes Capri leggings and Hanes tank top, we can easily go from brunch to the gym -no clothing change required!

Get Creative
As we said before, fashion is in sort of a Renaissance moment of casual combined with dressy, so you can really get fun and creative with your basics. Sweatshirts can be worn with skirts, dresses and skirts can be worn with sneakers, and leggings go great under tunics and dresses. And don’t forget about underwear! Boyshort briefs and bras can be paired with sheer fabrics. You can pair sheer pieces with matching underwear or add a pop of color with a bright bra underneath a sheer fabric. Either way, when it comes to style, travel, comfort and convenience, basics are your best friend!
