We’re sure you’ve heard it before; staying fit is a combination of exercise AND healthy eating. We know it can be tempting to reach for a quick-fix, but really you’re shooting yourself in the foot if you’re not combining your fitness with healthy meals. We know you may be busy and tired, and perhaps not the greatest cook in the world, but before you order takeout or reach for another sodium packed “healthy” frozen dinner, you need to know that eating healthy and preparing a fresh, high-protein meal doesn’t require great cooking skills or much effort; thanks to Bumble Bee SuperFresh® fish. Yes, it’s frozen, but before you say “no way,” hear out the facts! Unless, you’re literally eating fish on the spot, straight from the boat, almost all fish you see in the grocery store is frozen, then thawed out and displayed. So, you’re really buying frozen fish anyway, but it’s actually less fresh because it’s already been frozen and thawed. In fact, the freshest fish you can buy is either straight from the boat OR frozen. The more you know, right?
We all know fish is the most recommended source of protein for building lean muscles and staying fit. Ask any nutritionist and they will tell you: if you want to be fit and lean, skip all other meats and eat fish. The problem with preparing fish at home is the freshness and also not knowing how to properly season it. Raise your hand if you’ve ever botched fish. Yes, we feel your pain! Bumble Bee SuperFresh® is changing the frozen fish game, by creating fresh, pre-seasoned, restaurant quality fish that you can take from the freezer to the table in less than 25 minutes. If you’re ever been intimidated by preparing fish, Bumble Bee SuperFresh® is for you. You don’t have to do anything except cook it. It’s already seasoned, fresh, and has zero fishy smell, so you simply remove it from the package and cook it. Making a delicious, healthy, gourmet quality meal has never been easier.
And for the sushi lovers out there, Bumble Bee SuperFresh® Ahi Tuna is the first ever sushi quality “thaw and serve” packaged seafood product. It stays frozen during processing and is never fully defrosted, so it stays fresh and is on point with what you would get at a quality restaurant. Part of the problem with making sushi at home is the freshness of the fish. Sushi is an excellent source of protein, perfect for post-workout meals and it’s actually pretty simple to make. However, it can be tough to find sushi-grade fish. Thankfully, Bumble Bee has solved the problem of trying to find sushi-grade ahi. Now you can make fresh sushi at home whenever you want!
Bumble Bee SuperFresh® fish comes in several varieties including: Tilapia with Lemon, Pepper & Herbs, Tilapia with Garlic and Extra Vrigin Olive Oil, Salmon with Garlicky Black Pepper and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salmon with Garden Pesto, and Ahi Tuna. Our favorite fish from the Bumble Bee SuperFresh® line is definitely the Salmon with Garlicky Black Pepper and Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Seared Ahi Tuna. Finally, Bumble Bee has taken the work and complication of preparing a fresh seafood meal!

Bumble Bee SuperFresh® Salmon with Garlicky Black Pepper and Extra Virgin Olive Oil with butter lettuce salad, grilled veggies, steamed spinach and mashed potatoes.
What You’ll Need:
1 Package Bumble Bee SuperFresh® Salmon with Garlicky Black Pepper and Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Vegetables For Grilling (we chose carrots, asparagus, and eggplant)
Potatoes (you can use sweet potatoes for an even healthier meal)
Preparation (Makes 2 servings):
Bake salmon until thoroughly cooked through. (Usually 15-20 minutes depending on your oven.)
Peel, boil, and cover 3 potatoes on high heat for 15 minutes, drain and mash. Add salt and pepper for flavor. Skip the butter!
Add 2 inches of water to a medium saucepan with 2 inches of water, and fit with a steamer insert (if possible). Bring to a boil. Add spinach and reduce heat until it’s simmering. Add one clove of garlic, finely chopped. Cover, and steam for about 2-3 minutes until the spinach has wilted. Drain excess water.
Prepare the veggies last, as they will cook the quickest. Brush veggies with a bit of extra virgin olive oil and either sautee or grill until they’re browned, but crisp.
Chop your lettuce with a bit of extra virgin olive oil or your favorite dressing and serve.
Enjoy your quick, healthy meal!
