We’re not all blessed with thick, lush brows and unfortunately many of us plucked them to near extinction in the ’90s when the thin arched brow was so in vogue. Now, with the return of the Audrey Hepburn-esque thick eyebrow, it seems that everyone is trying to find ways to get thicker eyebrows. Short of getting very expensive eyebrow transplant surgery (yes, it exists!), getting your eyebrows to grow in thicker naturally can be tough. Of course, there are serums and treatments that you can use to grow your eyebrows in over time, but they can take months to be effective.
Luckily, if you want a quick fix, there are products and tricks that will actually make your eyebrows appear thicker instantly when using pencils and powders just isn’t enough.
Wax Products
Wax products will coat your eyebrow hair follicles and actually make them thicker. After filling your eyebrows in with a pencil or powder, use a wax product to brush your brows upward to keep them in place and maximize volume.
Fiber Products
Fiber eyebrow products, similar to eyelash “extension” mascara, actually layer each hair and create length and volume on your eyebrows. There’s a little bit of a learning curve to getting the application right, but fiber products are a great way to instantly thicken your eyebrows.
Henna
Henna is semi-permanent dye that is safe for your skin and can make your eyebrows instantly look shinier and thicker. Henna coats your eyebrow hair follicles and also dyes the skin, so you’ll get thickening and tinting in one product. Using henna on the eyebrows requires some eyebrow shaping skill and careful application to avoid getting it in your eyes. However, it’s an excellent way of getting thicker semi-permanent eyebrows that will last up to a week. Recommended product: Venita Henna Color for Eyebows & Eyelashes, $5
